Laurent Miquel's spicy (and downright cheap) Syrahs have been staples at USQ for years, but we were recently bowled over by just how luscious and appealing his unique blend of Chardonnay and Viognier was after tasting it for the first time. Crafted with fruit grown in the Languedoc appellation of Saint-Chinian, the wine offers rounder fruit flavors than those grown in cooler climates. The Chardonnay delivers enticing quince aromas and crisp flavors throughout, while the Viognier imparts a pleasant peach and honey character to the succulent finish. For less than $10, this is hard to beat. Open this to serve with light cheeses, simple chicken salads, or your favorite fish dish.
