Crafted with precision in a double retort pot still (Vendome), it achieves a high ester content of 290-300 parts per million directly from the still, bestowing upon it a uniquely bold and characterful flavor profile that is the very essence of Jamaican rum.
This one-time limited edition is a true testament to the art of rum making. Its journey includes an extensive 35 years of tropical aging in ex-bourbon casks at the Clarendon Distillery, followed by an additional 5 years of continental maturation in ex-Ferrand casks, further refining its complexity. Bottled at a robust 57.2% ABV with no dosage, this rum showcases an extraordinarily complex nose, hinting at smoky and meaty notes intertwined with fruity, herbal, and subtly sour nuances.
