Chairman's Reserve The Forgotten Casks is a serendipitous discovery born from the ashes of a 2007 distillery fire. After the blaze, several casks of Chairman's Reserve Original were misplaced and "forgotten" for four years, only to be found with remarkably rich, deep flavors.
This limited-edition rum pays homage to that happy accident. It's a blend of Coffey still and pot still rums, aged for 7-8 years in ex-bourbon casks, then further matured in oak vats. A deep mahogany color leads to a complex nose of sweet raisins, sultanas, tobacco, and vanilla. The palate is an exploration of grilled tropical fruits, candied walnuts, and soft spices, ending with a wonderfully long and satisfying finish.
