Mae Son Orange is a captivating orange wine from the heart of the Italian Dolomites, crafted by third-generation winemaker Matteo Furlani. This wine, made from Muller Thurgau grapes grown on calcareous, clay, and porphyry soils at elevations between 300-720 meters, benefits from the fresh northern and Ora del Garda winds.
Hand-harvested and destemmed, the grapes undergo an extended skin contact of 20-25 days, followed by spontaneous fermentation in open-top steel vats. Aging in stainless steel preserves the wine's purity. Unfined, unfiltered, and with no added SO2, Mae Son Orange is a testament to natural winemaking. It presents an amber hue with golden tints and an aromatic bouquet bursting with fresh apples, citrus notes of lime and grapefruit, and a decisive minerality.
