The 2023 Château Miraval Rosé emerges as a testament to the unwavering spirit of Provence's winemakers in the face of challenging conditions. This vintage, marked by contrasts of dry winters, wet springs, and a scorching summer, yielded a limited but exceptional harvest.
The result is a rose of magnificent quality, meticulously crafted from grapes grown in clay and limestone vineyards near the village of Correns. These vineyards, partially terraced at an average altitude of 350 meters, provide a unique microclimate with cool temperatures and significant diurnal shifts, fostering the perfect balance of harmony and freshness in the wine.
The grapes, harvested exclusively in the morning and meticulously sorted, undergo a delicate winemaking process. Cinsault, Grenache, and Rolle are directly pressed, while the Syrah is partially vinified using the saignée method. The blend is then aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats (95%) and barrels (5%) with batonnage, resulting in a rose that is both elegant and expressive.
