Nicolas Catena's family was among the first to plant vines in this Argentinean region as early as 1902 but it wasn't until the 1980s that Cantena began to identify Mendoza's top growing areas. Now collectors seek out the ethereally rich Nicolas Catena Zapata prior to release, and his estate Malbec is virtually considered part of the national identity. Crafted with fruit from four high-elevation vineyards, the Catena Malbec offers the perfect balance of rich and spicy blueberry fruit with seamless texture and a long, plush finish. This wine deserves to be consumed with savory roast turkey or prime cuts of beef.
