They source all ingredients from within a small radius of their distillery, including local apples and pears, as well as hand-picked native herbs and berries.
Träkal defies simple categorization. It starts with a brandy base, infused with botanicals like a gin, and incorporates essential oils for year-round consistency. The result is a brand-new spirit with a flavor profile both complex and utterly unique.

Introducing a bold new spirit crafted to honor Patagonia. Made from authentic and native ingredients, it’s like nothing you’ve ever had before. In our humble opinion, the only way a spirit can be truly authentic to a region is if it’s ingredients are derived from what naturally thrives in its local environment. All of our ingredients are sourced from Patagonia, within 100 square kilometers of our water source. We use local apple and pear varietals to create our base alcohol and work with local communities to hand-pick seven native herbs and four native berries. These elements are integral in making TRÄ•KÁL an authentic spirit While its unique flavor profile proves it's anything but. Derived solely from native Patagonian ingredients, TRÄ•KÁL is an entirely new type of spirit. Starting with apples and pears, it's essentially a brandy base that we then infuse like a gin with local botanicals. On the third and final distillation, we use essential oils and vapor-infuse fresh herbs. These wild herbs are seasonal, we needed to find a way to capture their essence year-round, while maintaining consistency and scalability. To overcome this hurdle, our master distiller’s mother suggested making essential oils from each herbal varietal.
