Arette Artisanal Suave Anejo Tequila is a luminously golden spirit crafted from 100% Blue Agave grown in the esteemed Tequila Valley region of Jalisco. This exceptional anejo undergoes a meticulous aging process, resting for more than 18 months in select American White Oak barrels. The aging process, which extends to 20 months in used barrels from renowned bourbon distilleries like Four Roses and Jack Daniel's, imparts a remarkable quality, body, and smoothness, culminating in its distinctive bouquet.
Wine Enthusiast awarded this tequila 92 points, noting its mild and fresh character with inviting aromas and flavors of honey and almond. These initial notes gracefully evolve into fresh apple and delicate white blossoms on the palate, leading to a nuanced finish of ginger and zesty lemon peel. The production of Arette Tequila at NOM 1109 adheres to traditional methods. The agave is cooked in stone and brick ovens, and the juice is extracted using a roller mill. Fermentation occurs naturally in open-air cement tanks without fibers, followed by a double distillation in stainless steel pot stills with copper coils. The use of aeration during production further enhances its smooth character. The Arette brand pays homage to Arete, a celebrated Mexican show jumping horse and Olympic gold medalist, embodying the same passion and strength that defines this "Premium of Tequilas."
