Katoukichibee Shouten, founded in 1860, is a historic brewery located in Fukui, Japan. For eleven generations, the Kichibee family has carried on the tradition of sake brewing, earning a reputation for excellence. The name "Born," derived from Sanskrit, reflects the brewery's belief in purity and the rewards of dedication. Historically, Born sake was even selected for imperial ceremonies and guests, solidifying its status as a representative brand of Japan.
