This is it folks. The first American-made sake that can hold its own with the best from Japan. We were utterly blown away when we first sampled this Nama Genshu from Brooklyn Kura, their first release in what we can only assume will be a long, successful run. Sake enthusiasts will know this is the real deal when the signature nama nose bursts from the glass. Buoyant aromas of sweet rice, melon, and sweet pea blossom are bolstered by round, supple textures and a clean, succulent finish. While this sake is a natural with traditional Japanese cuisines, this begs to be paired with menus well beyond your local izakaya - don't be shy about pairing this with everything from marinated add grilled pork chops, to crispy fried chicken. Please note, these guys are making this sake one batch at a time in their Sunset Park facility, so supplies are limited. If you see it, grab it!
